What Is Curing?
After you apply the ink to your shirt, it needs to be properly cured to make sure that the ink won't wash out of the shirt. Curing is the process where the ink dries and bonds to the shirt fabric. Usually the ink needs to reach the temperature of 250-330 depending on the type of ink you are using. There are many ways to "cure" a shirt... you can use a heat press, heat gun, flash dryer, or conveyer dryer.
When screen printing from home, the most common way is by using a heat gun and heat press.
Simple & Effective - Right From Home
When you are just learning how to screen print, most people can't afford the big expensive equipment. And that's OK, because neither can we. You can start small and still be a very successful, busy small business. We have found a great way to cure our shirts using a heat gun and a heat press. It passes all of the tests, and after washing it MANY times... the ink still looks great. Yours will too.
In this course, we are using Rapid Cure Plastisol Ink from Screen Print Direct and will show you how to cure the ink with a heat gun and a heat press. This process would also work great for FN ink from Ryonet.
What To Expect:
1. When you buy the course, you will receive an account with a login. This will allow you to have access to your course anytime you want.
2. Every course comes with a high quality video that shows us doing the process step by step. You can watch it over and over again until you fully understand.
3. We will also have a downloadable ebook that comes along with every course. The ebook will have all of the links to the products we use in the video. It will also have step by step directions of what we went through in the video, with pictures.
Our goal is to save you money and time!
When we first started, Autumn & I blew over a thousand dollars on methods and products we didn't need, along with countless hours put in, just trying to figure out how to screen print from home. We couldn't afford all of the fancy equipment, and the resources to help us learn with the equipment we did have, were slim. With lots of trial and error, and skimming the internet for what little we could find, we eventually found our system and we are very confident with it. With hundreds of positive reviews on our shirts we can tell you the system works!
Now we want to share our methods with you. We hope these courses will be just what you need to start printing confidently!
